My latest heart attack
has been electronic thoughts
written with a blood red pen
slashing
three cheers for the weapon of choice
longhand whimpers and growls
bated breath
then, howling
slipping from page to page
prowling
slashing
let loose the hounds of war
all over those expense reports
there are better things to do
on a Monday afternoon
